Look no more – this delightful dish, made with Bennett’s Creek Farm Market & Deli’s top quality ground beef (ground fresh daily), is sure to please all family members and guests. The kids love it! An easy to prepare tasty meat sauce is served over corn chips and topped with your selection of accompaniments.
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can taco sauce (or 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix plus 1-1/2 cups water)
- 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
- Corn chips
Suggested accompaniments: shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives, chopped avocado, chopped onion, sour cream, salsa.
In a medium-size skillet brown ground beef until crumbly. Drain fat, if necessary. Add chopped onion, taco sauce (or seasoning mix and water). Stir. Add tomato paste. Stir thoroughly. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Warm corn chips, serve about 1 cup per serving, top with about 3/4 cup meat sauce. Pass selected accompaniments. Ole!
